I would like to suggest that you place a picture of "Slag Beach" which is part of the famous Michigan State Park at Fayette, Michigan on your web site together with the rusting hulk of the Big Rock Nuclear Plant because I think it is important to tell the complete story of how we got to where we are today. It would be good to have a photo of the BP and U.S. Steel operations, too.
Too often we hear in the message from conservationists and environmentalists that it is "we" who are responsible for where we are at today.
I think we need to fix the blame on the "system" of capitalism and what this system has done to us and Mother Nature.
It is important we understand the history behind the destruction of the Great Lakes Region.
Perhaps you could find a way that would allow photos to be posted along with what people write. When speaking of the Great Lakes one picture can often speak the proverbial "thousand words."
